Apollo vs Antelope Orion

I own a stock Apollo quad with TB card, need more I/O
Has anyone A/B the Apollo converters to the Orion?
I hear great things about the sound of the Orion, are the Apollo converts on par?
If this has been discussed in length else where please let me know where to look

The Lynx Aurora 8 sounds better and costs less than the Orion 32. Furthermore, you can only add 8 additional I/O's over ADAT with the Apollo so you'll be losing half the Orion's channels.

My coal is to stream the Apollo into the Orion, I have other mic pre's and the madi interface of the Orion is the good thing for my work flow

You don't need to loose channels. Just hook up the Apollo (adat out) to the Orion like I do. Then thru Madi into your Madi interface (rock solid ;)) or use the Orion drivers...

The Orion is a very good interface. Only downside is that it's gain level adjust is global.

I have a Orion sitting on top of my Apollo, I'm starting to hook up and give it a run threw.
Orion is such a tight compact box, it's awesome just in build quality alone...

Orion sounds pretty great. Not sure how it is compared to the apollo tho.

I have shot it out with an apogee Rosetta tho. Liked the Rosetta a bit better.
