    Universal Audio Apollo Quad:

    BIN:
    £1599
    Auction:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-...item2c6d119c3c

I Already own an Apollo Quad, bought this 2nd one thinking I might need extra processing.
Have not even come close to using all the processing power in mine, so donít need this one.
Apollo is in mint condition, except for one small surface scratch on the bottom.
    Has not been rack mounted.
I have tested it prior to listing to ensure everything is working. All systems go!
No box. Will however package very securely.
Comes with manual, install disk and power supply. (These come in original box)

It Is has not been registered, comes with warranty.
This is a rare chance to own a Quad for the price of a Duo.

Potentially save yourself over £500 off the cheapest web price.
(Donít buy a Duo, you will regret not having double the processing power of the Quad)

Please message me if you have any questions at all.

    Review:

Here is anhonest review on the Quad:
Fernando Gros // Universal Audio Apollo Ė First Impressions

    What I say:

The best thing about this interface is the REAL TIME UAD processing, it does the plugin processing onboard. Which means even if you don't have a lot or RAM and older processors, this will help improve any latency or system overloads.

If you are just starting out, or looking to upgrade your interface and preamps, there really is no better sound card.

If you are just beginning to get into recording, then all you need is this and your computer, then you can start recording anything from bands to writing and recording your own music

Can be used with all recording programs. Logic, Ableton, Cuebase, Protools, etc, etc, etc.
    Compatible with Mac and PC.

I have honestly never found a better interface with as many inserts and outputs, including, jack, xlr, firewire, adat, spdf, all with 96 kHz recording capability and 4world class Universal Audio preamps.
    All this withQuad Processors.
It completely frees up the way you write and record.

    What UA say:

The Universal Audio Apollo Quad is the first Thunderbolt-ready high resolution audio interface to capture analogue simplicity and digital flexibility in a pristine all-in-one recording system. Classic analogue design combines with cutting-edge DSP technology to deliver a host of features, class-leading performance and seamless, future-proof integration.

The UA Apollo Quad features 18 inputs and 24 outputs feeding high-end AD/DA conversion; 4premium digitally controlled preamps and 2 DI inputs allow connection of microphones, guitars and other instruments. These inputs can be switched from the front-panel along with gain, phase, low-cut, pad and phantom power. The 10segment LED meters provide a visual indication for levels, input channel status and clock settings. Also featured on the front are 2 discrete headphone outputs and gain control for recording and monitoring duties.

Alongside the mic and instrument inputs are a whole host of I/O options, including: 8analogue I/O, dedicated monitor outputs, 8 channels of ADAT I/O, stereo S/PDIF and word clock I/O. There are also 2 Firewire 800 ports (as standard) for multi-box linking and connection of other Firewire compatible devices.

The Apollo Quad also includes award-winning UAD DSP processing technology, allowing any UAD powered plugin to be used in real-time at near-zero latency. This technology combined with UA's design heritage makes Apollo an ideal choice for professionals seeking a high-resolution, DSP-accelerated solution with a fast and easy workflow. Apollo is compatible with all major DAWs and ships with a comprehensive Console application and Recall plugin to ensure all settings are recalled flawlessly every time.

Located at the rear of the Apollo, is the Thunderbolt expansion bay ready to accept the user-installable option card (sold separately). Found on the newest Apple Mac Computers, Thunderbolt provides higher throughput, improved performance, and increased plugin instances than conventional Firewire and USB systems.

The Universal Audio Apollo Quad is the culmination of 10 years of analogue and digital audio development - creating the ultimate next-generation DSP-accelerated audio interface.
