Pro Tools is the industry standard, Pro Tools 11 is a dramatic improvement over any prior PT product and any Pro Plug In maker needs to get accept adopt their product if they want to stay in the game.
UA promised during the NAMM show to have their AAX versions ready by June for the PT11 release and failed to deliver. They have however been continuing working on new plug ins, so this is not a resource issue, this is a priority issue and AAX does not seem to be on that list.
UA is the only reason I still need to work in PT 10 and it's frustrating because PT 11 after having gotten 2 service releases already is very stable at this point (no perfect but stable).
This is incredibly frustrating. I must say... also no status update...are they close? Are they struggling? Do they care?
Actually I think the fact that everyone is left in the dark is more frustrating to me than the product not being out yet...
Also if this is low priority because it's a free update...don't make it free, I would have been willing to pay an appropriate upgrade fee, it's only fair (having said that of course I am hoping its free, but I would not fault them for charging)
anyway....UA please get this out there finally!!!
no one asked ua to drop everything and work on aax64 just make it more of a priority
they could have been much more transparent with this sometime in 13 bullshit and I would have kept my money in my pocket
if ua is one of the last to release aax64 that will be pathetic!
They were just about dead last for 64-bit support, and it's taken 14 pages of this thread for someone (me) to mention that. Verdict: present lack of AAX will be a total non-issue.

if its such a good example of a non issue, ah how come the thread is 14 pages long ?
