I would just prefer sooner rather than later as I have had lots of problems with pro tools, knock on wood in the past, and am disappointed that UA had not put aax64bit higher on its priority list again not the end of the world !

Pro Tools is the industry standard, Pro Tools 11 is a dramatic improvement over any prior PT product and any Pro Plug In maker needs to get accept adopt their product if they want to stay in the game.
UA promised during the NAMM show to have their AAX versions ready by June for the PT11 release and failed to deliver. They have however been continuing working on new plug ins, so this is not a resource issue, this is a priority issue and AAX does not seem to be on that list.

UA is the only reason I still need to work in PT 10 and it's frustrating because PT 11 after having gotten 2 service releases already is very stable at this point (no perfect but stable).
This is incredibly frustrating. I must say... also no status update...are they close? Are they struggling? Do they care?

Actually I think the fact that everyone is left in the dark is more frustrating to me than the product not being out yet...

Also if this is low priority because it's a free update...don't make it free, I would have been willing to pay an appropriate upgrade fee, it's only fair (having said that of course I am hoping its free, but I would not fault them for charging)

anyway....UA please get this out there finally!!!

    Sorry, bullshit. Never promised.

    AND

Why would they stop everything for a format that's not widely used yet?

ua made a lot of positive noises about being sensitive to the needs of pro tools users

no one asked ua to drop everything and work on aax64 just make it more of a priority

they could have been much more transparent with this sometime in 13 bullshit and I would have kept my money in my pocket

if ua is one of the last to release aax64 that will be pathetic!

I think "simply an update" is inaccurate. It is new code, new features and arrival at x64. A lot of people would like to use it when their tools can join them.

I do think it will be a black eye for UAD to be the last major player to get on board.

True, and they're closer to that than they realize.

They were just about dead last for 64-bit support, and it's taken 14 pages of this thread for someone (me) to mention that. Verdict: present lack of AAX will be a total non-issue.

it seems fundamentally inconsistent to market yourself as a leading company and trail the pack on basic support: at best slow aax64 bit releases is an example of poor judgement, ua has many very good plug competitors: seriously how can so many other companies have managed aax64 bit releases and not yet UA ?

if its such a good example of a non issue, ah how come the thread is 14 pages long ?
