Hardware controller for UAD Console?

Hi,
I wanted to know if it was possible to use a hardware controller for UAD Console application; if so, does anybody use one?
what protocol does it employ?
Would it be possible to use it when there's a HUI controller working with PT?

Thanks a lot!

One of my biggest wishes is that this is only temporary.. I mean, a MIDI/HUI controller support is bound to get released sooner or later, right?

Would be so sweet to control the Console while tracking with my little Mackie MCU!!! But, I'd rather have a dedicated UA hardware console; fully emulating the software application's channels, cue mixes, Auxes and master section, but also with multiple monitor outs, talk back, mono button! Sigh

Hmmm. Would need to be able to integrate my existing Apollo into the Soundcraft ;)

I'd be happy to see the UAD equivalent of Softubes Console One.

UA can simply make their plugins compatible with Console One. They might even be working on it, given that they're already in partnership. Console One is already excellent, UA doesn't need to reinvent that wheel.

I love this idea!, especially from the standpoint of an interface which allows a user to control all the plug-ins, in some manner of speaking. I started a thread in wants and wishes about 3 weeks ago: http://uadforum.com/wants-wishes/15903-ua-proprietary-plug-control-surface.html
I had not thought of a surface used to control 'console' though...hmmmm
I am intrigued with Softube's release and even more so imagining how it might possibly, maybe someday integrate with UA, but I think I'd personally prefer a UA hardware 'control surface'. I know it is totally different, but does anyone remember this? DCS Support
If they took this approach for making a control surface not totally unlike the ergonomics of this DCS, it might be just the ticket.

Console One is so much more than a hardware control surface. It makes mixing extremely immediate and you can actually mix without looking at your DAW or even your screen. No mouse necessary.

Man I would pay some good money for this too! Or at least iPad control! I have done a little bit using a remote desktop app, but it's pretty painful and I wouldn't recommend it :(

It wouldn't be a bad move for softube either, I would guess that I am not alone when I say, the only thing keeping me away from console one at this point is a pot commitment in Uad.

Softube Console 1 + UAD compatibility would be super!
Anyone got any connections to find out if they've talked about this, since they already have a partnership?

Gannon would be the only one that might know, but if he does, he's sworn to secrecy. ;)

As you stated, Softube is already a UAD partnership developer, so I would not be at all surprised, if with UA's approval that UAD compatibility would come to fruition in the future. I might even be inclined to buy one at that point. :)

I'd be happy to use my Twin as a monitoring control for my Quad..ha!

Does make total sense and a potential win/win. Have you guys seen the Rob Zombie FOH Midas/Waves integration video that came out yesterday?

My God, yes, I'd become a strict Console 1 user if this happens. I'll ask Henrik to contribute to this thread.

FWIW, I have absolutely no interest in having Console 1 be a controller for Apollo's Console. Talk about limiting. Having it be a controller for standard UAD plugins is what I'd be after.
