Hey folks,
Just saw the color of the new apollo twin mk2 and i beleive the silver was an amazing piece of industrial design art. The grey looks so dull and Avid/apogee?
Because very few are in need of MIDI ports on their interfaces these days. Most people plug their controllers directly via USB, and MIDI interfaces are cheap and small. It would add cost and little value for the majority. Why never any MIDI ?
Be nice to see a rackmount, desktop space being very precious.
we don't know that these are sharc dual, they could be the same as in the stadard quad cards: more likely ?Wow you found something that hasn't been announced yet. A quad twin? Dual Dsp chips are here?????? Time to celebrate.
Just one, sadly!whats going on with the optical: 1 or 2 ?
Duh, yeah, I forgot. I use and external one because I like physical knobs to control monitor sound levels. The two controllable monitor outputs has been there since Console 2.0

I think that's what it does now, looks like there's an entire new row of functions on the mk2, so you can press ALT now to switch and control ALT monitors?? I also see DIM, MUTE, TALKBACK, etc. looks like I can finally replace my monitor controller and get a Quad twin at once, cool!Duh, yeah, I forgot. Would be nice to have a feature where you can toggle what the big assed knob controls, like Apogee does.
Since it is "digital", shouldn't cost more than a re-design of the facing and an extra 2 LED lights.
looks like they brought some of the Bf functionality to the twin mkii ?I think that's what it does now, looks like there's an entire new row of functions on the mk2, so you can press ALT now to switch and control ALT monitors??
