Dan, it's not. I believe it's more of an incompatibility than a bug.

    Hi Tesla,

I can't comment on future products and features. This seems to be a growing request, though, so thanks for your feedback.

    Cheers!

I'm hoping for the opposite direction. IRs are fine, but they have very significant limitations (they can't capture dynamic changes, saturation, breakup—they're completely static). I'm hoping OX will find its way in some form as a UAD plugin.

I'm down with an OX plugin, too. However, at this point in time, a lot of players are using their own IR libraries and it would be soooo easy to implement a plugin that would just load 3rd party IRs into the Apollo console...

I will most definitely buy the OX, as I was very impressed with the Summer NAMM videos I saw, but having an IR loader is still a nice addition, particularly for those of us who have personal IRs of their favorite cabs with exotic speakers that will probably not be covered in the OX...

I think if it was super easy they would have done it already. Where will the IR file live? Remember, Apollo still runs when disconnected from a computer. Once you open it up to foreign files, how will it be kept secure?

I definitely think it's doable, though, and I think UA knows the interest level in it.

It worked for me previously with Sonar as the 9.2 Chandler plug-ins would not work for some reason. All other plugs in 9.2 were fine. Mix and Match!!!
    Hi see venus,

I tried that, but console wouldn't recognize v9.2 of the Townsendlabs plug as authorized. Of course I authorized again, but it wouldn't help. Funny though, that the plugin in the DAW is recognized as authourized...

This was a good move. It's such a massive step up from the previous Engl's.

Interesting! Not having Unison on the Hi-Z, I found that I was able to match the SDD-3000 pretty accurately using Precision Delay.

They use different plug-in IDs so presets and session compatibility are maintained, but you can't load Expanded presets into the original and vice versa.
It'd be nice if Expanded presets were labeled as such or if there were a separate folder for them. It would help with auditioning the plugin.

The input gain knob's interaction with Unison plugins is a great interim solution. Brainworx figured it out and made the knob interact with the Engl's Gain knob and it'd be great if you could get them to make it interact with the Ampeg's Volume knobs, as well (it currently changes the input jack, which is stupid). Also, even with the Engl, it only interacts with the Clean/Crunch 1 Gain and not the Crunch 2/Lead Gain, it'd be better if it interacted with which ever channel was active. Or, in the case of an amp that can have both channels active simultaneously, such as the Fender 55, maybe both at the same time?

Know you have added unison - anything you can talk to on this latest amp in terms of realism/emulation approach as it seems you up the game on each release. Realize this is third party dev.

I have all the UAD Amp Sims and like the Fender the best - not just because I like Fender sounds the best (I do) - but it seems more real and reactive when playing like my Fender amp.

Curious if this latest amp is on same level or ups the game.
Personally, I think it ups the game. I'm not a metal guy so I went into it expecting to not be impressed but it completely blew me away.

Try matching the AMS delay/echo and SDD-3000 settings with the Precision Delay. I was able to match the AMS exactly and the SDD-3000 very close.

For high gain sounds, the Marshall JMP 2203 covers similar grounds, though I personally think the Savage does it better. The Savage could easily be someone's only guitar amp plugin and I don't think that would normally be said of the Marshall JMP 2203.

This is the one that took me completely by surprise. It's actually my favorite plugin out of this release. By throwing it on an Aux and mixing it with the dry signal, I was able to get some great Kevin Shields/MBV kinds of phasing effects.

There are no updates to the plug-ins you mention, but there are usually bug fixes going on under the hood.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Gannon,

Thanks for the clarification. I'll do a time machine backup and go for the upgrade as soon as I have completed the mix I am currently working on.

I am a new UAD user and I am more than impressed so far. i just wish that I had jumped onboard years ago.
