Oh dude, if you got the cash I'd say go for it. A bit expensive, but I don't know the NZ market! Matt H has one for sale right now for under $600 USD

Matt H was suppose to do a shoot out with his unit before he sold it, but I don't think he got around to it!

I did actually. Just didn't get around to posting files or comments.

The plugins are both close. Waves was closer on drums (fast transients) and the meter responded really well. UA version was closer on bass guitar.

The hardware sounded a bit more open with a bit clearer top and a little more depth. The Waves had more noise. ;)

In fact, I matched the noise of the fully cranked hardware at about 10% on the Waves.
