So was the decision to update the bus comp made sort of last minute or what was the reason for that comment?

    Specifically this was your comment:
    Hey Billy,

We don't pre-announce products because if something happens late in development, plans can change in seconds and something may not make the release cutoff.

I said "Nothing new to offer with the G Bus Comp" in response to a question as to why it wasn't done at the same time as the SSL 4000 Channel Strip.

I didn't say "There are no plans to update it" - two different things!

    Hope that makes sense!

    Good question!

I don't believe there's a way to send MIDI from a DAW to Console.

Console can receive MIDI input from a keyboard or other MIDI trigger for live input.

    Cheers!

    Hey guys,

    I stand corrected!

As before, you can use and IAC bus from Ableton and Console will see it as an input device. Piece of cake.

I had a problem with my system not initializing the internal buses, but once I fixed it all is good.

If you're not familiar with IAC buses, let me know and I can walk you through it.

    Cheers!

    audio input device not seen

I have done the upgrade, 9.2 Logic, iMac i7, and I only get the message that the Mac can't see the apollo and will revert to computer I/O. Can't seem to get past it. Seems like a similar situation, would welcome any info, thanks, B.

It sounds like your installer is corrupt as it's not finding the assets.

Try downloading the installer again and see if that works.

Also, run the installer in Admin Mode - right-click on the installer and you'll see a popup dialog that lets you select it.

Let me know if that does the trick - thanks!

Most likely is the driver is in use by something else. Media Player, etc. Run the system configuration utility (used to be msconfig) and disable everything that's not critical and do a restart.

Hey Gannon, I'm aware about the no pre-announcement policy. But this sounded to me more like "There are no plans for an update", hence the confusion. No biggie though.

So can we agree on this as some sort of code? I say, "Hey Gannon, what about the Neve 33609 mkII?", and you say "Sorry, nothing new to offer with the 33609"...

Something I found a bit interesting in the release notes was "(SSL E Channel Strip Legacy) Improved control surface behavior"
What control surface? Control surfaces in general? A new UA control surface? Some specific third party one?

Maybe it just means if your using the plugin in your Daw. Some clarification from Gannon would be nice though.

Not quite sure they provide a mapping to UA's SSL as they want to sell their own?
