apollo quad silver FW / TB issue

hi UA profis ! got a question i installed TB 2card in apollo silver quad apollo this works fine,
but when i connect the apollo on a other mac pro wich have only FW800 , the card dont work ? tried on a friends older macbook with firewire also dont work?
can it be that the FW connection is switch out ? i want to use the apollo actualy over Firewire ..
any ideas ???

If you are running tbolt pci-e drivers the fw is shut off in the apollo. if you want to run fw, you have to download and install the fw drivers. You can do this over tbolt pci and follow the instructions. But to run fw you will have to hook up your FW cable. To run tbotl pci-e you will have to redownload the pci-e drivers and repeat this process if you want to switch between running the apollo tbolt pci-e and FW.
