Possible defective Apollo Twin Duo - thoughts?

Hello All,

I came home from work yesterday and turned on/awoke my twin duo/mbp, went to the bathroom, came back and the only thing not powered up is my Twin Duo.. I ran through the typical "unplug, hard reset, check the surge protector, check everything" routine and still nothing. Scratching my head on this one.

Iv only had the Twin since December, and obv love it. Read the warranty info, and it falls in line with a claim.

Im running all current UA software, firmware (I believe), and keep everything as current as I possibly can. Thoughts? Help!

Oooo Graham, that's not fun.

I assume you have checked the power supply plug to be certain it is all the way in. Do you have a volt meter to check the power supply's output? If not, do you have some other 12 volt device with which you can test your power supply? Obviously it needs to be something that doesn't draw more current than the Twin.

Are you in the US where you can call UA when they open at 9 AM Pacific Time?

Hey Don! Thanks for the swift reply.

I am in the US, will call this afternoon for sure. I do not have a volt meter unfortunately. And I have checked the locking plug a dozen times. Even with it locked and unlocked there doesn't seem to be any power getting to the Duo. Do these AC adapters get fried often, without any notice? I will say, locking the plug back in place is a struggle for some reason now. Never used to be. I really hope its not dead, only had it for 7 months :(

Twisting the plug into locked position shouldn't be hard... Could something have gotten stuck in there preventing the plug from inserting all the way? I worry the plug or receptacle might be physically bent or broken.

O I know, its very odd. Iv handled it very carefully since getting it. Its like my inanimate child lol. Its not moved, nor had anything inserted in the power plug that shouldn't have been there.

Calling now to see what they can do.

Update:

I don't know how it could've gotten bent or broken, its completely stationary on the desk and never moved. No obstructions in the Duo power plug receptacle, or inside the adapter plug itself.

Hoping support hits me back.
