just picked up the Apollo Twin USB, here's what happened during installation:
1. Power on apollo
2. Power on computer
3. Install UAD software, update firmware
4. Windows crashes, blue screen, computer restarts. Windows gets to log in screen and crashes again.

If I power off the apollo, windows will start without issue, but the minute I power it on, the computer will crash. I've tried a few variations of uninstalling, reinstalling in different order, but nothing has worked so far.

I've been gleaning that the USB ports on my old mobo might be ASMedia and possibly incompatible. If anyone has any other ideas or has experienced the same issue, let me know. Thank you

Looking at your specs, I can immediately see your issue. The Apollo Twin USB is only qualified and compatible with Intel CPU's. Specifically, Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor. AMD based CPU's and MB's are not supported.

Also from UAD support page for Apollo Twin:

"Motherboards and PCIe to USB 3 adapter cards that use USB 3 controller chips from the following manufacturers are are not recommended for use with Apollo Twin USB:

Texas Instruments
Etron
Fresco Logic
ASMedia"

I had to change my own system becuase of Fresco Logic USB3 chips/Drivers...

Although they say not supported I run an apollo twin usb on a amd system with no problems. I have a gigabyte 970 fx rev.5 motherboard and a amd fx8350 with 16g of hyper x ram. I get very fast and stable performance. I also use the factory usb 3 port that came on the motherboard.
