Weirdness in Pro Tools Ever Since New UAD Software Update

I am now noticing that toggling LOW LATENCY monitoring in Pro Tools does nothing anymore. I have regressed the problem going back to earlier versions of PT and the problem persists. This all started after downloading the new
UAD software the other day.

I have an instance of S GEAR on a track in Pro Tools which I use for tuning my guitar.

I have to disable LOW LATENCY mode in PT for the tuner to see my guitar signal from the Console. That's how it normally works.

Now, whether or not I have LLM on or off, the tuner is always seeing the signal.

Something strange is going on here since this update.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking it's a coincidence that it coincided with the uad update since none of those products are actually uad!

My experience with LLM has been strange as well. Sometimes it works like it is supposed to (only muting channels that go to the physical 1-2 out) and other times it's worked no matter the track output (which was a dream come true)

The problem is, everything was working fine until this update. It doesn't matter what plug in is in PT, it no longer matters whether LLM is on or off, that isn't right!

And yes, the whole output thing I didn't even want to bring up...look, I have a stereo track in every session that I use to compare my mixes to. That track is routed to Virtual 3-4, while everything else (my tracks) in PT is routed to Virtual 1-2.

I record about 8 hours a day ...every day, and have for a couple of years now with my Apollo. Until this week....I never had a problem with this setup. As long as LLM was on, I was able to track guitars with zero latency (or perceived anyway).

Now, I HAVE to mute the PT track I am recording to for it to work. I understand that people have griped about this....I did some searches, and I'm thinking "What are they talking about? I have NEVER had to mute tracks in PT while recording."

So I must be in some alternate universe. I was recording today and found myself reaching over constantly to mute record tracks and was thinking...."I was NOT working like this last week.."

Really am lost here.

I feel your pain. I'm in the same situation. Maybe it was the uad update that changed something, because I too am back to routing tracks to mon l/r to get llm to work. All last year it was working no matter what output

Yep. I just opened Logic and everything works the way it was working in PT a week ago before the update. PT officially only has LLM on physical outputs, not virtual but it sure worked for me. Strange! I may tracking in Logic and exporting to mix in PT. What a pain.

In low latency mode you are basically telling Pro-Tools I will monitor using Console. So when a track it's in Record the plugins will be disabled and so will the Pro-tools audio output for that track.
