I own an old Yamaha p-140. Here is the picture of its capabilities:

If I bought an RCA to XLR cable, I could plug my keyboard into the back of the Apollo Twin mkii and record audio of my piano into my DAW. However, if you read closely, on the back of my Yamaha the AUX out says 'level fixed' ... Will this basically mean that my audio signal will be garbage? Will the recorded piano sound be only at a set volume, sucking out the dynamics of my performance?
I already use this piano as a glorified MIDI controller ... Am I better off just leaving it as a MIDI controller and forgetting about the audio component? I'd like to record a nice 'analog' sound of a piano. I'm not too crazy about the stock software instruments in Logic Pro. I would get more virtual software instruments but they are pretty expensive (Kontakt + synthology for example ..).
So should I waste my time and try to see how the yamaha sounds by buying an RCA to XLR cable? Should I simply invest in a better keyboard where the audio level is not fixed? interested to hear your input and if anyone else has experience with recording digital keyboards with the apollo twin.
