1st Impressions of Console 2 for Firewire

    Hey All

I thought I'd open a discussion on 1st Impressions of Console 2 for Firewire

Well I for one am loving it! Thank you Team UA

Now here are somethings I'm loving

    1-Channel Presets are awesome
    2-Channel strips are Fantastic
3- Drag & Drop (Holy Cow!) No more save settings, remove plug, insert plug somewhere else the pasting Settings
4-REC/MON switch on every Channel, is awesome
5-Hold Shift click on Fader for fine adjustments
6-Preset Audition (Thank God) I was so tired of going to open a folder and look for the next preset (Very Cumbersome)
I'm sure I'll find much more I like but that's it for now

    Things I don't like

1-Scribble Strips still don't save with Console Saves (Am I the only one that wants this?)

    And Lastly New Feature Request's

1-Implement Linking of Channel Presets to Unison Insert and Aux Assignments EG; While loading a Channel Preset in a 1 thru 4 Channels (Unison Channels) Have it ask "Do you wish load Unison Plugin Associated with this Channel Preset?" Same with the Auxes "Do you wish load Aux Plugins Associated with this Channel Preset?"

2-Channel Strip Sub Presets. Once you have a Group of Inserts loaded as a Channel Strip it would be nice to call up Presets within that Channel Strip that recall all setting for all Plugins in the Channel Strip

3-Have option to Record Dry track along with Wet Tracks EG; In the I/O of your Daw each Apollo Track appears with a Wet or Dry Title like "Apollo HIz 1 Wet Apollo Hiz 1 Dry"

4-Console Skins! As much as I like the new look of the Console, some things are quite dark and hard to see on my 2 X 22" LCD Screens Some new ideas would be Welcome

5-Along with fixing the Scribble Strips it would be nice to be able to toggle back and forth between the default Scribble Strip and the Personalized one

Well that's it for now, please share your thoughts and ideas

I am really liking it. The modifiers section makes workflow way faster. The record per channel option is great even though I havent used it yet. I like the UAD meter on the bottom of the console. Channel presets are very cool. sends seem to be nice. I would have to agree it is kinda dark though. Especially the solo and mute buttons but im not complaining. im sure ill get used to it. Overall im pretty pleased. I like your toggle scribble strip idea too.

I also really like the send section. Underneath it where it says show. If you highlight only monitor you can get way bigger faders and meters for your levels on the way in.
