What about the popular Avalon VT-737sp mic pre?

I'd like to see a modular version of the Pultec hopefully unison channel strip. Without a doubt one of the best sounding plugins in existence.
Helios is another one I'm looking forward to, the Helios compressor would also be cool.
Compex compressor and Lexicon PCM 42 come to mind
Additional useful utilities like metering plugins would be nice (vertical and horizontal) maybe a long fader with fine control

One of my wanted features is RESIZABLE plugin windows. It would be great to be able to enlarge the small ones to see better and then shrink them down when you need more screen space. The Melda plugins do this to some extent as well as having optional skins and it's very handy.

Also not plugins but features for console like midi control / dedicated controller which I think will come along in the near future

What a fantastic tone list. I vote Chris for head of product choosing at UA :D
HAHAHAHA! That's very flattering! I own all but five of the the units on that list. Would LOVE to have good software versions of these and as important as the tonal element is in all of these pieces, UA would be the company to get them right.

I have no idea. I used one at a studio near Boston a few years ago and it was everything I'd hoped for. Really fell in love with it, but haven't been able to find one I can afford yet. As much as I LOVE RVG's recordings, I have never found too much info about the things he actually used.

I have 2 of these I managed to grab over 10 years ago, modded with attack and release controls (by the previous owners, Le Studio in Quebec). Have said before I'd be into loaning them if UA wanted to model them!!
Ironic. My studio clients today did a record up there back in the late 90s when they were signed to Sire. Always loved the stuff that came out of there. That's very cool that you have those. I'm a total sucker for that kind of thing.

So many great records came out of there over the years, it was a real shame to see it go under! The building is still there from what I hear, in total ruins. What a waste!! :-(

At the time they were selling off the gear, their tech of many years happened to be servicing the SSL at the studio I was working at back then. He mentioned they were up for grabs, I couldn't pass that up!! LOL

It's not far from my place. It is in total ruins, but there's a movement to restore it. I really hope they do, such a shame!

It doesn't seem to have been proposed here. A cab emulation could be a really cool plugin: a kind of impulse response reader (IR) combined to a kind of a simplified Sound Machine Wood Works: open back / closed back, Thiele dimension or oversized, etc.. and some mic emulation...

A lot of guitar players are using loadbox with their amp or tube preamp to record in silence. They miss a miking machine plugin which simulates the baffle, the mic and the room.
