adat optical problem

Hi I just tried to connect a presonus d8 via optical to the apollo and theres nothing getting in, i have all my analog connected but i need to record more channels, i have everything right, bnc cable,sample rate etc.. i sended a support email but nothing yet, its curious how i get immediate response if i have problem buying a plugin.......

I had a similar issue with a MOTU 8 pre. The things I had to do to get it to work were:

1) unhook the firewire connection from the 8pre
2) set the 8pre to "converter" instead of "interface"
3) run optical out of 8pre into Apollo AND out of Apollo into 8pre
4) set 8pre's clock to the optical input
