Hi all,
Brief history:
Old system - A7m-266-D, 2x XP2400MP, 1.5 gb ram. RME 9652, 2x UAD-1.
New system - A8v Deluxe, x2 4200, 2gb ram, same cards. Various HDs.
With my old system, running the same load-test cpr in SX3.1, the uads would show a 10-15% lower load when in slots 1 and 2 than in any other slots. Eg, when in slots 1 and 2, uad load=75%, when in slots 3 and 5, uad meter=90%. Slots 1 and 2 on the A7M266-D were 66mhz slots as opposed to the others which were traditional 33mhz.
Now with my new x2 setup - running that same load-test cpr, I am getting the higher 90% load again, no matter which slot I put the uads in. Nice performance boost on the native cpu front - pleased with that, but effectively I'm losing three Pultecs-worth of power on the UAD front. Rather dissapointing.
Can anyone comment on this? Really can't see why this would be...
Gary.
