I've been in a nightmare studio upgrade, which is costing me a ton of time and $$ - and:
While switching recording rigs, I accidentally switched my two (new) Apollo x8s to transfer the licenses. I thought it was what I had to do to switch computers. I need to cancel that transfer so I can re-connect the Apollos to my current email account...but, I can't, it just generates an error message saying I can't re-register them and need to contact support. I've created a support ticket - 799583 - but it seems like response times are very slow right now and am curious:
Aside from waiting and hoping - is it a dumb idea to take the two Apollos over to a friend's studio, register them under his account, and then set them up for transfer again back to mine? Or will that just create some OTHER problem? I'm happy to wait a day or two still, just wondering if this is a feasible, quicker, workaround...
