Adjusting input level of fairchild?

Hi,
i just purchased the fairchild. Tweaking some presets, but i don´t know how i had to adjust the inputlevel. May i push it near 0db and then then make the rest of of settings? Or is it better to adjust the input with a great headroom ex -5db or 8db or so?

it realy depends on what you use it for. Higher input/ higher threshold means more effect. If you wanna go subtlle on a loud source, turn down the input gain. If you don't; crank it up. Experiment & have fun with it and always ask yourself if you like what you hear or if it's overdone.
