am i crazy or is uad working better with my new 2.3 G5?

i bought one of the new dual 2.3 powermacs a few weeks ago, and have been piling on the uad plugins (i have 2 cards installed). the performance meter in cubase sx3 is showing much less strain than in my previous g5 (a dual 2.0 with the pci-x slots)
anyone else find this to be the case?

I have no previous experience with other Macs but I recently (well it has to be, the machine is not very old) bought a 2.3 as well. I came from PC and was afraid that the drop in performance would make stuff I brought over hard to play back but it never happened. I haven't had a single problem going from Logic Platinum 5.51 on PC to Logic 7.1 on G5 2.3 using the 3.9 driver with Tiger. I also run Powercore mrk II and the original 9652 Hammerfall (recording at 32 and 64 samples depending on the material).
