AMD x2, Gigabyte K8NS Ultra-939 and UAD-1 - will it work?

Hello,

I'm hoping to upgrade to a dual-core AMD shortly, but does anyone have any experience of using it with the UAD-1 and the Gigabyte K8NS-Ultra 939? Just don't want to waste my money - have had my fingers burned before! I have an Echo Mia soundcard.
