Same as everywhere else. Populism. You think this is unique to the US? Be sure to see what parties are being elected is Europe. https://www.statista.com/chart/6852/seats-held-by-far-right-parties-in-europe/You make great guitars…and cars and Music and put man on the moon….

This post is in the Coffee Shop which is presumably made for this type of off topic stuff? As a European, I am also wondering, but can't we keep politics out of this forum and just enjoy our shared passion for music and sound?
One giant American asshole told all the other giant American assholes that it's okay, in fact GREAT, to be a giant American asshole, anywhere, all the time. So the giant GAA (giant American asshole) convinced enough GAAs and a lot of just plain stupid people to make him president of the USA. Once the biggest GAA was president, it became apparent to all the other GAA's that they should not keep their asshole-ness hidden "under a bushel." They are the smart, patriotic, male, white ones, after all. So all the 'closeted' GAA's burst out into public with pride, self-assuredness, absolute ignorance of all things social and scientific, and the complete confidence that being a GAA is what America's founders had in mind, and anyone who says otherwise should hang from a noose. So now, much like after the American Civil War, the adults in the country are cleaning up the pieces as we shoo all the GAAs back into their homes where they will forever fly a flag stating "Trump Won" or "Don't Tread On Me" or "All Lives Matter" or "A Dictator is What We Deserve" or "The South Shall Rise Again" or the southern rebel flag of the confederacy (the defenders of slavery, who lost the Civil War.) We need some more time before our "general public" is once again fit to interact with the rest of the non-fascist world. Your patience is appreciated. What is going on?

Yes... but politcal stuff can get really ugly really fast. This post is in the Coffee Shop which is presumably made for this type of off topic stuff?
I spend about a month or two in Europe every year. I've done this for the last 20 years. Unless you read multiple newspapers and watch multiple different TV/Internet news programs (that are varied in their affiliations) - you don't have a clear picture. From across the pond I see USA devolution not evolution….

Wish it for all of us!but I believe we will pull out of it
By design. But it's just easy to point the finger at others. Usually too easy.
As a self professed GAA who did NOT vote for orange man bad, we dont think everyone else should hang from a noose. We just think everyone else should stay in their local San Francisco’s or NYCs they’ve created. As a fleeing New Yorker who is long tired of funding nonsense, I’m enjoying WITH popcorn the mayor being proverbially beaten to a pulp for professing just how liberal of a sanctuary city we are, while cutting police, fire, EMS across the board because he now has to PAY for it somehow. Closing schools to house these people, buying them free airfare (essentially doing EXACTLY what the cruel evil Abbott is doing in Texas, just with wings instead of wheels). I really would like to game the system and tell them I’m a potential refugee and see if I can get my NAMM airfare covered one way. Lord knows Anaheim has no problem with swarms of people sleeping on the street. The homeless is practically California's state bird. One giant American asshole told all the other giant American assholes that it's okay, in fact GREAT, to be a giant American asshole, anywhere, all the time. Agreed. More forums than not have a hard ban on it.Yes... but politcal stuff can get really ugly really fast.
Yup. Defunding the police worked splendidly. Communities got exactly what they asked for. More criminality.I wasn't going to say anything else, but I forgot to mention this:
This country has virtually NO moral compass. We worship criminals, in music, shows, media and we put very bad people (Trump or Biden, take your pick) and frequently bash those who are nice and kind. We do NOT work together, it's fake news. So that is all, it's disgusting, it's incomprehensible, but that is the way it is. That is one thing about the states I don't see in other parts of the world much.
Populism... So is this the official stance of Universal Audio given by an Official Representative of the company??Same as everywhere else. Populism. You think this is unique to the US? Guess what? It'll pass. The pendulum swings back and forth.
The 70s were pretty messed up in the US also.

I wouldn't call it a 'stance". Just a statement of fact. It's not really new here. The Jacksonian Era was similar.Populism... So is this the official stance of Universal Audio given by an Official Representative of the company??
You're right, I'll re-word that.I wouldn't call it a 'stance". Just a statement of fact. It's not really new here. The Jacksonian Era was similar.
