Anybody getting the new Lifeson By-Tor pedal?

Even though it lacks MIDI and USB it does sound pretty darn good!

But the $295 price tag is a turn off.

Am I the only one who lurks at the gear page?? the lack of usb and midi is always the top thing people complain about with UA pedals.
Anyway, I thought the other price was awful high too, for what it is. But yeah, it has that certain something I like about it…. thanks for pointing that out @Bare-Faced Cow

I agree about the price, especially for a distortion box. I also thought it would have that early Rush sound to it, but it doesn't sound like anything I couldn't re-create on my Helix.

Are you implying power windows wasn’t good? Them’s fight in’ words . The only bad Rush album was, oh wait there wasn’t a bad Rush album. I know Caress of Steel gets a bad rap, but I love it, and without it there would be no 2112. So it all fits together in the Rush space-time continuum, there are no bad Rush albums. Only less good ones (and this is subjective)!

edit: haha fixing caress of Steve. That sounds like a good one though.

It just always tends to be the outlier in RUSH discussions. Something about the synths, haha.

Those synth sounds were pretty killer though. “Grand Designs” and “Middletown Dreams” live on my submersible mp3 player.

When my son was about 11 we were waiting for a to-go order at a BBQ spot, and I asked the guy behind the counter “you know why I’m a good dad?”.

“um, no”, he said.

“Brice, what’s the song that’s playing?”.

“‘Fly By Night’ by RUSH”, he said.

“You’re right!”, said the guy.
