Anyone try the new IK multimedia ARC 4 box??

I was thinking about trying the new ARC 4, the only thing that slightly concerned me was the fact the box has its own converters. From what I’ve heard they are quite good and transparent, but I just got my twin (upgraded form a lower gen Scarlett) and I really don’t want the conversion quality messed with! Anyone have any experience with this yet??

oh yeah and one more thing,
There’s a lot of talk about minimal latency (talking about on normal or natural mode whatever the default is) so can you actually track with it? Or should it only be for mixing?

If you use the lower latency mode you can track with it. I'm sure the improvements to frequency response you get will be far more drastic than the fact that it's passing through two more conversions. The converters spec reasonably (120dB dynamic range).

I have one sitting here, but all I've done so far is take it out of the box.

Cool good to know! And this is what I was thinking too!

I’m looking at the diagram on the arc box and I’m a little confused, if I’m using a twin: do I do a TRS from the Apollo to a male XLR input, then two normal balanced XLRs from the output of the arc? In some videos I watched it almost looked like the opposite on the picture of the arc box itself the input is female and the output is male, on their website I scroll down to the diagram and they have the input male and the output female

edit: or is the diagram simply saying a male connection is going into he input and a female connection is going to the output?

Keep us posted on how this thing works out in daily use, if you get that far with it!
