Anyone using LOUPEDECK CT

I just recently saw the LOUPEDECK CT connected to my friends system as a Cubase controller. Is anyone using this controller with your DAW (I use Logic Pro) or other Apps? If so, how does the usability, tactile feel, etc compare with other controllers you have used.

If you haven't used LOUPEDECK CT, which controller do you use?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated as I have never used an external controller.

I watched a few of these:

To see if I wanted to give it a try. Still undecided.

I have the streamdeck+ which is similar. I use it with Luna and it’s great. I was never sure that I’d use a dedicated mixing device, and this gives me the essential parts that I find useful, while also letting me have the option of using it for other things. So far I haven’t done the last part, but it was part of the justification :). I do like it a lot with Luna, you should be able to use it with Logic just fine.

I want to figure out how to use this with my DAW's so I can justify buying it for Resolve:

Thanks for the info. I watched some of those videos you cited and it looks to me the UI was envisioned from the minds of the software/hardware engineers who helped developed the product and not from a music production user standpoint. But, it looks cool!

It think something like Solid State Logic's UF8 might be more useful as a DAW controller.

Stream Deck here, but Loopdeck looks fantastic.

Prices: Loopdeck: 190 to 560. Stream Deck: 80 to 250. The bigger Loopdeck looks like it has much more control, but I'm not sure how it works. I use SD for all of my stuff, internet, mail, tabs, as well as Ableton Live. I have the 32 button version. I've also used it with Studio One, Reaper and Reason (though it was fiddly with Reason.) I'm not sure how knobs work with these things, requires extra steps I believe.

Whatever you do, just make sure there is a good return policy so that you are not stuck with it if it's not what you want.

Almost certainly IF it's well compatible with Logic.

Looking over loupedeck a little more, it doesn't seem the same as SD. Having FN, alt, etc is counter intuitive compared to SD. Not sure if you can do this in LD, but with SD you can program complex key commands with just one button. So if you want to load a particular plug often, you can program that in for one button. Not sure if with LD.

But as you mentioned with the UF8, I think that would be a best bet even though it's mo' money.
