After much frustration I have finally figured out why I cannot record from my Apollo unit into Pro Tools. I initially thought it was a security issue, after many reinstalls of UAD software in the latest version of Sonoma I realized that at the top right-hand corner of the screen a yellow microphone was present. Mac OS controls access now in Sonoma to all microphones, even ones that are being used in external devices when chosen.
The frustration was that in audition I could record my apollo without any problem. However in Pro Tools there was no signal available. However when you choose the option when clicking on that yellow microphone icon at the top right you have a choice (could possible be different with each DAW application whether is be pro tools or audition)... the choice when in Pro Tools is to choose "standard" or "voice isolation". As soon as I chose "standard" wala... I had signal again from the Apollo inputs.
