Apollo Twin Thunderbolt doesn't turn on when power conditioner power cycles

I'm attempting to manage power for my studio monitors and Apollo Twin interface through a single Furman power conditioner leaving the switches on the devices themselves in the "on" position.

When I turn the power conditioner off, the Apollo Twin loses power and shuts down. Then, when I turn the conditioner back on, the Twin does not turn on despite the switch being in the "on" position. Flipping the switch back and forth quickly does turn the device on.

Any idea why this is happening? Is this intentional behavior? If not, how can I address it.
