Right now, SSL has the Native Channel Strip 2 and the Native Bus Compressor 2 as part of their plugin collection. Could these legally prevent UA from making native versions of the SSL 4000 E Channel Strip and G Bus Compressor?
Interesting question, agree it probably depends on the current licensing. For a while I thought after API that SSL would be the next "console" and summing apps for LUNA, but never materialized. Going forward the level of native SSL plugins, 500 modules, UC1 etc. would seem to make them less interested in sharing out the brand name and intellectual property.
