hmm seems like the Asus A8V has got another chipset ...which probably doesnt work very well with Uad-1..or..? is that it..?

I think the only relevant difference between the A8V and the A8V Deluxe is that the A8V has no FW400 1394 controller and no additional Promise RAID controller. I’m not sure about different board revisions. The A8V Deluxe is/was available in revision 1 and 2. Revision 2 is the one with the 2 red SATA and 1 red PATA connector for the Promise controller and a sticker with ‘Revision 2’ between PCI slot 4 and 5. Revision 2 is working great but be careful there seem to be some with not proper working PCI slots out there. That may be applicable for the standard A8V as well but I do not really know just an assumption.rydan said:
