Asus AV8 Vs. Gigabyte K8NSC

Hi guys,

I am going to pick up a new motherboard for my X2 chip, as I have been having difficulties with my ECS KV2 Extreme.

When I bought it, it was the only 929 board I could find at fry's that did not have the NFORCE 4 chipset, and had pci/agp slots rather than the new pcie slots..

It has a bunch of extra crap on the board which I think are causing my problems.. extra RAID controllers (two of them!) extra ethernet ports, onboard audio, etc..

Anyway.. I want a more 'stipped down' board this time around and I am looking at either the ASUS Av8, or the Gigabyte K8NSC..

The only reason I am looking at the Gigabyte board is becuase it is supposedly NFORCE3, which worked well for me in the past for my studio computer.

anyone have any input on the Gigabyte board?

IM looking for stability primarily, and something that will play nice with my 2 UAD cards, 1 TC powercore, and my Fireface800.
