ASUS P5ND2 Compatibility

hi,

i will change my daw and i see an Alienware configuration that respond to my needs of stability and power,

Does anybody know if the ASUS P5ND2 is compatible with UAD-1 PCI cards
?

Isn't that an Nforce4 Chipset? If memory serves the UAD PCI doesn't like that chipset, however the PCI-e is reported not to have issues with it according to UA.

yes it is but UA only talk about AMD wih nforce4 motherboard issues,

i would like to know if the problems are the same with an Intel dualcore chip and nforce4 mobo...

yes with INtel as well.
its the nforce 4 chipset period, n5 now works.
as mentioned the PCIe uad will fix the issue
however it does NOT fix the 10% performance penalty you get with n4, n5.

PS alienware for a DAW? great for gaming not audio do a search for Digital audio workstation you will find several who build DAWs only
