Hey Hey!
A friend asked me about this and, while I've done it, I can't remember how and I'm not at my system to think it through...
Basically, how do you get a mic in the control room, being fed to the headphones, to come on when recording is stopped, but stay off while rolling tape (or harddrive)?
I did it once in order to sort of streamline the process so whenever recording was stopped, the musician in the room could hear me in the booth right away and as soon as recording resumed \"one more time please\"... it was automatically cut off. I just can't remember how I did it.
I know... stupid question... I'm just having a mental block on this one.
(I'ts a ProTools/Digi 002R system he's running)
Thanks,
Archmart
