Can I trash VTS and VST3 UAD plugins and just keep the AU ones?

Drew, can I safely delete all the VST and VST3 UAD plugins and just keep the AU ones? I only use Studio One and Luna, both of which use AU.

Is AU better than VST3? Or vice versa? I have almost every UAD DSP plugin except for maybe 5 of them, so it's taking up a huge amount of internal disk space.

Thanks!

I can't (and will not) recommend deleting anything our installer does. That's the official answer.

Of course all this is VERY easily testable by simply dragging the folders to the desktop and observe the results. If it messes with your workflow, just put it back. Takes 10 secs.

There might be an issue with compatibility with old Studio One projects. If any are using the deleted plugins, they probably won't open properly. If that's not an issue, then certainly trash the VST's, they're useless. VST3's might be more efficient in Studio One than the AU's but I trashed mine. Incredibly annoying having to dig through 3 of every plugin in Studio One.
