Yes control app up to date and yes did a restart of phone.
Is there a way to roll back to the previous version on the pedal? Would a factory reset work ?

I'll be sure to let Ron know.Thanks Ron B. @ tech support. When I lost Bluetooth connectivity the pedal was still attached to the last setting, so I was able to still use the pedal. Fortunately it was the setting I needed to finish the project. I have reset pedal to factor settings and re registered. I have paired successfully several time with no issues. At this point I am good.
