Nuendo/Cubase does this automatically.

For real-time mixing, yes.
Bouncing, no.

Seems to work fine when bouncing here. I often go out into an Aphex 204 and a TC Intonator (not at the same time) and back in to a file... and I've checked it against the original and it seems to match up to the sample.

Nuendo does have compensation, I've never had a problem in bouncing. You just have to click a little button on the send / return window that will calculate and adjust accordingly.
