i was working on a project last night and at a point changed the buffer size on my rme pci card . well when i tryed to activate a fairchild plugin that was de- activated before the buffer switch a message came up saying there was some sort of buffer mismatch and that one or more plugings failed .i just went back to the old buffer settings and all was well. seems strange to me that i cant change buffer settings. maybe if i tried to put the de-activated plugin to no effect and inserted it again it would work ill try tonight.

I may be way off-base here (and if so then 'scuse me! ) but in some circs e.g. DirectX PPIs in Sound Forge, using the PPI after another 3rd party plug can cause the PPI to be unable to report it's latency back to the host properly and this gives a similar message......(NB-quoting from memory here, it's a while since I had this issue......your circs sound somewhat different butI just wonder whether the's a connection? Hope this helps, best wishes in sorting it out!

ok ive been able to replicate the problem. if i insert one or more uad-1 plugins(with nothing else going on)and change my sound cards buffer size, everthing is ok but as soon as i insert another plugin at this different buffer size a message says. \"\"sorry one or more powered plugins has been disabled. the plugin was unable to load, plugin buffer size mismatch (eer=3)\"\" im wondering if this is a uad-1 bug and will this happen on other peoples systems.maybe if i tried to change the cards latancy befor i loaded the song it would work at the different buffer size.ill try that and get back with the results thanks all will

I change my buffer sizes all the time, usaually on the fly, in the middle of a session. I primarily use SONAR 4 and ACID Pro 5 as my hosts. My UAD-1's always pick it right up (the new latency) as soon as I press play again. That is the way is is supposed to work. So your situation seems a bit unusual.
