Click track management without Apollo

Hi all from France,

sorry for my beginner question...

I want to record my band with my Midas MR18 on Luna without Apollo. But I can't direct the click track correctly into the drummer bus.

How can I send the click track to a Midas input and then direct it ?

Thx in advance :)

Use a Cue.

Ok thx. I came to the same conclusion. But how to direct the click when there is no "cue output" button ?

Just fwiw, I hardly ever use the Luna click. You have Shape, you can write one bar of woodblock or woodblock and shaker and copy it across your track. This also helps with count ins. I use Maschine, and have my preferred click always running in Maschine.

To begin with, sorry for my low level of English and thank you for your advice...

Ultimately it seems to work well and without doing anything special.
The click track fits on the auxiliary channel of the MR18, so I can route it however I want in each musician's monitoring buses.

As we see here there is no cue configured.

Here I just kept the overall volume and deactivated those of the cues.

We can clearly see the click activate the stereo auxiliary track of the MR18 that I routed in bus 1 which is that of the drummer.

I of course disabled the main stereo output of the auxiliary track to avoid hearing it when checking the recordings.

To be checked in real conditions next week during recording...

No click is configured in the settings. If you send Cue 1 to a pair of outs, you'll be able to send only to the drummer.

It's amazing...
There must be a place where I either misunderstood or explained myself poorly.

Because as we see in the photo below, I can route the click in the 6 different buses independently.

My Macbook is connected via USB to the MR18 and, without doing anything special, the click signal arrives on the auxiliary stereo channel (17/18). From there I can route it wherever I want, however I want.
