Hello,

I recently buy an Apollo Twin X and i would like to connect it to my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 via ADAT. So I plug an optical cable (Toslink/Toslink) to optic OUT of my Saffire Pro 40 to optic IN of my Apollo Twin X. Everything seems to be correctly connected, Saffire Pro 40 clock is set to "Internal" and Apollo Twin X clock is set to "ADAT" and there are both set up to 48kHz. But in the console the clock flashing red... so i don't receive any signals...

So I dont understand why it's doesn't work, did I mess a step ? Someone have any info about the liaison between Saffire Pro and Apollo Twin X ?

Thanks !

Yes that sounds right. Is the cable known to be good? Also double check the ports, can’t tell you how many times I’ve plugged into the wrong one.

Yep everything seems to be connected on the good ports and the cable has just been purchased from Thomann, toslink/toslink optical cable.

Really don’t understand why the clock of the uad console doesn’t work…

I contacted universal support, I’m waiting for their response.

Make sure the little clear caps are removed from the ADAT cables. They should click in. Are you seeing light from the ADAT out?

Also toggle the Twin from ADAT to S/PDIF and back to ADAT. Lastly, try the Twin clock set to internal and see if you get sound (you'll likely hear clicking, too).
