Console & Control Panel not loading on MacOS

Hi everyone!
I'm worried because I have an Apollo, and everything is updated to the latest software, but when the apps start to load, the app I mentioned in the subject keeps bouncing in the dock or. if it loads, the spinning ball of death appears.

I tried to delete everything and re-install from scratch, but didn't solve the issue at all.

Let me know what I can do.

Thanks.

Oh! Sorry. I forgot.

I'm on my MacBook M1 Max with 14.3.1 (I know this might be an issue, but I'm on 11.1.0 for UAD software). I'd put this basic stuff in my signature like you, @Neotrope, and most people here. Lol.

Hi there. I'm having the same issue where the UAD control & meter as well as Console will not load. I tried a full uninstall/delete prefs & reinstall twice. I get through the install and get the notice to approve the extension in the Mac OS security settings but the button does not appear, either before or after a restart. I am on Mac OS 14.3.1 and UAD 11.1. I upgraded to UAD 11.1 a few days ago and it worked fine on projects for a couple days. Now I can't load my UAD stuff and my computer keeps restarting.

any ideas?

I heard back from UAD Support and they gave the following things to try:

Please first confirm Console is not a login item in system preferences.
You can do a spotlight search for 'login items' to verify.

Please also confirm if you right-click on Console in the dock, that it is not set to open at login.
Either of these will cause Console to crash.

Please then confirm if Console launches when an Apollo is not connected?
If you open Activity Monitor, force quit the UA Mixer Engine, and then launch Console, does it then launch?

If you are still having issues, let's please try the following:
(Mac) UAD Uninstall / Reinstall Procedure (carefully remove all files as shown)
Do make sure you have downloaded and are installing the latest UAD software.

Please also check that you have not used CleanMyMacX:
CleanMyMac X and UA Software

The first two suggestions didn't help but the third fixed it. I unplugged my Apollo from my comp and then both console & the control panel started right back up. I reconnected Apollo and it connected and works great now. I guess sometimes the hardware and software just need to be restarted separately.

Hope that helps someone else when this happens!
