Console issue recognizing X8

May have already been asked and answered, but...brand new X8 just arrived and having some odd issues with it being recognized. Both the Apollo and the DSP engines are showing up in device manager. So, clearly not a TB issue. BUT, still getting the "Connect UA device" garbage when I open the meter from sys tray! Opened a ticket but from what I've read so far not holding my breath on a fix anytime soon there. Wondering if this could be an issue with the shipped firmware not being current enough to be recognized by the UAD control panel SW? Tried some legacy versions hoping that maybe would help, to no avail.

Any ideas? Been considering just picking up a cheap macbook to update the firmware and returning it. Tried countless uninstalls and reinstalls with full folder deletes Including all of my spark and UA connect stuff with no change. At a loss as to what to do besides throwing in the towel and looking to a brand with better support!

Been having the same issue (slightly different of course) but can not get my X8 to be recognized by my Win 11 system. Brand new X8! Searching all over the web for help, have had an ongoing open ticket and no real help, just babbling "check this and check that" but no fixes. Mine has not worked since April 5, 23. Yep that's right! If I find a fix I'll let you know, hope you might do the same. Best, Randy

Only thing on my windows pc is the sequrity setting in bios for the thunderbolt. Have you tried and alter the settings?

On my pc that is by default set so the apollo dosent show. Lowering the security setting in bios makes it work.

Did you enable/allow the device in the Intel Thunderbolt Control Center software?
