Hi UA friends- since a recent update of UAD and LUNA to the most recent feb 2024 versions the CONSOLE app is not opening and needs to be "force quit." anyone else having this issue? and it's resulting in my LUNA being stuck in CORE audio mode and none of my inputs working on my Apollos. Any thoughts or fixes are greatly appreciated! thanks!

Are you sure you deleted the entire UA folder in the User Libary?

Drew- OK this fresh install of everything worked!!! thanks so much for your great assistance.
one small thing that i haven't resolved yet- the ADAT output that i'm using from the first X8P in the chain to my DBOX+ for monitoring over AES has not resolved itself to work again. any thoughts? thanks so much - LUNA is the stuff! thrilled with my switch from the evil empire to UA- great support here!

Thanks so much Drew- I'm using a C2G Optical in to coax out box- same thing i used for last year or two. nothing changed in my setup. thanks so much- maybe i need to power down, unhook all digital connections, wait a sec, and then reconnect and try again. big thanks for your great assistance- best to you.

Hi Drew- ok so i've tried unconnecting and reconnecting the C2G optical in to coax out box to get digital signal from my X8P to my DBOX+ digitally- this was working perfectly until my recent update. everything setting wise in CONSOLE is the same- ADAT outputs, etc.- any ideas why it's suddenly not seeing signal there? thanks so much for all your help and best

And it's set to SPDIF and not ADAT in Settings?

It needs to be SPDIF. ADAT is an 8 channel protocol and is different.

I'd test with a different device to rule out it having gone bad.
YES!!! SPDIF DID IT- i just needed to turn on DIGITAL MIRROR (which i had not this time).
DREW- i cannot thank you enough for your amazing support- UA ROCKS SO MUCH! Very thankful for all your help and all the best to you!!!!!

Hi Drew,

I am having the exact same issue with Console not opening up upon start up of my MAC and only working after force quitting.

I will go ahead as you suggest and do full uninstall, including preferences and do a clean install, but I had a question. Can I save my current console session configuration and load it after I complete the re-install, or should I fully set everything up again from scratch?

If loading my current session would be ok, is there a way I can also save all the global settings, or there is no way these can be saved?

Many thanks!!

Sure. The uninstall process and deleting prefs does not do anything to saved sessions.

Thanks for the super fast reply!

Not sure I understand. when you say "The uninstall process and deleting prefs does not do anything to saved sessions", do you mean that the session files would not be removed during the uninstall and deleting prefs process (so I could use the saved session to load it up if I wish to)?

if I re-install everything, Console will first open as after a brand new install. My question would be if there would be any way to save all global settings as well as the basic session parameters of console? Basically, so that I can get started without having to go though all settings such as the I/O matrix, cue outs, monitor outputs digital mirror, etc...

thanks again!

Correct console sessions you have saved will not be impacted. But your preps are trashed and you do need to reset things like trims and alt counts.
