Console vs Channel strip Plugin

New to the UAD plugins so I'm just wondering if there is difference between channel strip and console plugin?

Main differences between the various channel strip and console plugins are that some work as Unison preamps and the API works as a console in Luna. If there are any particular plugins you're concerned about, I can elaborate on those specifically.

I don't know I was just thinking if it is worth considering buying console as I have API vision Avalon and Manley channel strip

There is just one console, API.

The main thing about consoles is that they auto switch between DSP (when armed) and native when not, AND they have a unified interface with no separate plugin windows to manage.

Yes, I bought apollo x4 few year back and recently plugins bundle so I switched from Logic to Luna

Then get the API Console. It's fantastic.
