Hey there,
I tried this with the bx_masterdesk plugin since I have both UAD-2 and PA Native versions and unfortunately it doesn't work.

Hi, Can UAD please implement a Copy & Paste feature from UAD-DSP plugins to the Native UADx versions. This would make switching plugin version a breeze during the session. Thanks!

Yes, always been there. You just need to use the plugin's Copy/Paste, not the DAW's.
