Cranborne Audio 500ADAT

Hi folks, BTW this is my first ever post :) I have recently purchased a Cranborne Audio 500 ADAT. I am using Luna software and I want to integrate it. I am aware that there are no direct inserts yet in luna, but there is a workaround I have heard. The issue I am facing is not knowing how to route the ADAT out put from luna back to the Cranborne Audio 500 then loopback the ADAT 500 output back in to Luna. Any help please :) Eido

Are you using an Apollo interface?
I connect my 500 ADAT to theADAT ins and outs of Apollo (two connectors). I make the Cranborne my master clock.
All the extra ADAT channels appear in Luna.
For integrating hardware inserts, each channel of the 500 ADAT has an insert jack on the back, so I connect my outboard to that.
You can insert hardware during the recording process via the 500 ADAT. If you want to process audio from Luna, send the output of your Luna track to one of the ADAT outputs, then create a new audio track and set it to the same ADAT channel input and record. You have to switch the Cranborne channel to 'ADAT: and insert your hardware on that same channel.
Works like a charm.

Hi Chrisso Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry that I wasn't a little more clear. Yes, I do own an Apollo X8 and everything's hooked up just as you mentioned. This is not a hookup question, this is a routing question. My question is, for example, if I have a two-track in Luna, how do I route the ADAT output in LUNA into the 500 series rack so I can go through my Rupert Neve 542s and then back into Luna? I want to do this all through ADAT."

Yes, I already explained that and linked to a video too.
You select your Luna output to which ever Cranborne channel you want. then you switch the Cranborne channel to 'ADAT' from analog.
Create new audio tracks in Luna and select the ADAT input - the same as the ADAT output you selected to send your audio to Cranborne 500.
Are your Neve 542's in the Cranborne 500 ADAT or in a separate 500 series rack. if they are in a separate 500series rack you do the procedure I just explained, but then you connect your Cranborne to the separate rack with the 'insert' jacks under the ADAT channel in your Cranborne.
