Creating a session to SSD not working

Hey Everyone. Nothing but Luna problems this weekend. Which has never really been the case so far. I have not updated recently or anything. Current problem - been working on an album mix, and I have built a template to import all of the tracks into. Has worked flawlessly for the past 3 songs. get to song #4 to set it up this morning, and when I create the session, I get "Unable to open the session file".
I am saving to an external SSD. Running a Mac Studio M2 Max, on OS Ventura. It isn't a permissions thing - I don't think - because I tested copying files to that drive and it all works, and the disk utility tells me it is writable. Here is the thing though - if I create that same session and point it to my desktop, it creates the session. Point it to the SSD, unable to open. HD is functioning normally otherwise. Sessions are opening from it, and I can move files onto and off of it.

Anyone ever run into this?

Well, update in case anyone else runs into this down the road. What is actually happening, upon closer inspection, is that the session I am creating IS actually being created on that SSD. It is just the process of opening the file that Luna isn't able to handle for some reason. Like, I create the session, Luna tries to open it automatically after I hit the "create" button, and I get the "unable to open" message. If I just close that message out, go to the file on the SSD and open it, it opens just fine. So - weird bug? I don't know. Would love to not have to go through those extra steps, but it isn't the end of the world. Would still like to know why though.
