CS-1 crashes after 4.1 update w/ DP 4.6(.1)

Activating it causes an instant crash in DP 4.6 and 4.6.1. I've tried all the usual things to fix but nothing has helped to date. I have a backtrace if it's helpful to anyone. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hey im an avid DP user and i have tested the cs-1 plugin on a mono track and a stereo track.. it didn't crash my DP...? you should check your setup man.. try trashing all the uad plugs and reinstalling them... that may straighten it all out.. good luck man

Yep been that route, trashed all the UAD plugs (in fact removed all of them even the non UAD ones). i reset my AU check cache, repaired permissions + drives, trashed all prefs, even reinstalled DP, etc. The only thing I haven't tried yet of all the usual suspects is to remove all my custom templates (which I'll do now).

Thanks for posting tho. Helps to know it's not widespread

Try reinstalling thge MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle.. that might just be it...

Ahh I forgot about that one...(mas audiounit support bundle) I was having the same crashing problems, trashed the audiounit support bundle, reinstalled it and everything is back to normal again...cheers for that! :wink:

Hmmm well that didn't help me either. I'm stumped. i guess it's a reformat and install all from scratch (ugg).

i have this problem since updating to 4.0 and a guy from uad told us that the bug has been reported and they are working on it!

Ok, thanks for the info. I was working fine until i did the 4.6.1 update, and i even tried rolling back to before the update from my backups but something's messed.

What I haven't tried yet is to physically pull the UAD-1 card for a reboot, and insert it back -- maybe in another slot. This will force the motherboard at least to forget everything it knows about it
