Del-Vibe Loud Sound When Switching Models

I get sometimes a loud “pop sound” when I switch delay or reverb models.
Especially when I switch to the spring reverb model - not each time but very often.

Is this normal?

Also have it with my del-verb. Yes, bugs and issues are very normal with UAFX pedals.

I tried different power supply’s - all the same.
Yes, maybe a software-bug - but I updated to the latest version.

I have to try if switching off the effect during the model-switch will help.

Yeap, definitely no power supply issue. If you still get pop noises when the effect is turned off than this is another major software bug in UAFX pedals. Will try this as well.

You can also report such issues to support. Either by demanding to open a ticket in the chatbot or via UA connect feedback button (not sure if it really works).

If the bug is severe enough UA will fix it via firmware update.
Imho it’s a very severe bug.
It’ not possible to switch models without being afraid to hear a very loud “pop” from time to time.

Today I investigated a little bit further - it happens even when delay and reverb foot switches are off.

When I set reverb type to “Hall 224” before I connect DelVerb to power - than power it on - as soon as I switch to “Spring 65” there is a very loud “pop”.

Is there another pedal in front of the Del Verb?

+1 to SteveVs questions.
Also, what’s the make and model of the amp?

Aside from the app, I haven't seen a bug or issue with my Ruby, Lion, Dream or Ox Stomp. But, maybe I'm just not normal. :ROFLMAO:

Missing speaker drive knob and buggy reverb in ox stomp -> your share of UAFX bugs. Other than that the bugs I discovered or was affected by were happening in Astra, Starlight, Golden (Huge Volume Jump after Firmware update 1.1.7), Del-Verb (pop noise when switching algos, voicings gone and app broken after UAFX control update), Galaxy 74 (doesn’t remember secondary knob settings after restart). So I think you are just lucky with the selection of UAFX pedals you purchased 🤘

Effects loop of your amp? Popping noise issues are sometimes impedance mismatch related. Can you setup the DelVerb buffered or true bypass? Try buffered or try with a buffered pedal in front. Does it also pop when used stand alone in front of your amp?
Del-Verb is always buffered bypass (same for galaxy 74, max, dream, ruby, lion, woodrow, ox stomp).

Me too.
Starlight, Del Verb, all four amp pedals and the 1176 comp small format box.
Zero issues with the physical pedals and since that last uafx control update - no problems with the app. Both Android and iOS.

As mentioned above - the loud pop appears only from time to time (always after a power cycle - when I switch from any other reverb to the spring reverb).

Have you tried it going into the front of the amp?

Yes, I tried another power supply (rated 1A), and put it in front of another battery powered amp.

All the same.

If both switches are in the lowest position before powering on - and than putting the right (reverb) switch in the upmost position (spring) - there is this “pop”.

Usually only the first two times after powering on / than all is fine most of the time / but happens once in a while with both switches (delay and reverb time).
