I'm trying to determine if the API Vision and 2500 consoles use any DSP. I don't see any change in my UAD Meter, so I don't think they do.
But do they use up CPU? I'm looking at the "Render" meter, but it jumps up and down so much that I cannot tell. If I put the API on many many channels, will I lose performance and start going into the red on the Render meter?
It's related to the fact that I want to put a high pass filter (and sometimes a low pass filter) on many channels for mixing. Normally I use Fabfilter Pro Q, which isn't that CPU intensive, but I could use anything.
On a related note, do the Tape Extensions take up CPU when using Luna? I saw that Drew recommended in a recent video to put them on everything.And to put Summing Extensions on many busses.
