universal audio moving into the firewire realm ???????
i love this software and concept but have a laptop, and i need firewire, or if there's a way to accomplish this with a magma chasis which i doubt but you never know :cry: but i am considering purchasing a g5 if i must to get these plugins for mixing.

The UAD-1 cards do work in the Magma chassis. I have a little mobile setup of 3 UAD-1 cards and a PCI HDD controller running 2 HDDs all in the chassis and it works amazingly well. This is also a much bigger pipeline than FW could ever offer so it would work much better even if there was a FW UAD.

The other nice bonus is you can also get the PCI Magma connecter and use the chassis with a desktop in the studio and then with a laptop (PCMCIA) in a portable situation (or if you bought 2 PCI connectors, you can do the same between 2 different desktops).
