does it matter which PCI slot I install?

I just got a UAD project pak and a RME multiface II w/ PCI.

I have an ASUS P4P800 mobo with all 5 PCI slots that are empty.

Does it matter which PCI slot I install the multiface and UAD?

Maybe. I found my system was more stable when the UAD was on a lower IRQ than my soundcard. Look in your motherboard manual - there will be a chart explaining which IRQs are normally assigned to each PCI slot.
